Pianist, Accompanist and Piano Teacher

I have been teaching the piano for about 8 years now and it is a very important part of my life. Students have ranged from absolute beginners to post grade 8 and from the very young to adults. I have also taught students with various learning difficulties. All lessons are delivered on a one-to-one basis.
Sometimes people just want music theory lessons or extra help with GCSE or A Level music and I am happy to help with any such request.
I normally teach at home where I have a Yamaha C3 grand piano which you can see to the right on which all lessons take place. However if there is a need to teach at an alternative location that can be arranged.
I have also taken teaching engagements in schools and am able to offer presentations which include a performance and talk to students about a particular work or composer. Such presentations are of most use for GCSE and A Level classes when dealing with "set works". It is very useful for students studying at GCSE and A-Level to have the opportunity to experience a performance of the Sonata being studied and very useful to classroom teachers to have a soloist able to play a given work as directed by the class teacher rather than losing half the lesson trying to find the particular passages on a CD.
If you are interested in learning to play the piano, are a parent thinking of piano lessons for your child or a School interested in a presentation then contact me and we can discuss it further.
